Leadership Roles
HEAD DESIGNER
This year I became one of three head designers working on our "Limitless" book. It has been a great experience to help out the new designers and work on bigger projects than I ever have before. I am so thankful that Mrs. Butzu trusted me with this position and allowed me to take on this leadership role.
STAFF SUPPORT
Whether it is supervising spreads or just working as a member of the team, I make sure to be very active in group chats and always offer a helping hand. I take a lot of pride in the fact that staffers and younger editors seem to be comfortable coming to me with questions, and I can usually find an answer!

This year especially, inputting and working with designs can be difficult for non-designers, so I try to be available to troubleshoot for any potential issues.
MIPA VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS
I am constantly pushing myself to become a better designer and editor. That being said, I was sad to hear that workshops would not happen this year as a result of COVID. Luckily, I was still able to watch and take notes on two amazing MIPA design workshops this year, and can genuinely say I learned a lot from the experience.
MIPA COHORT
In my junior year I became a member of the MIPA Cohort GroupMe and remained in the chat for my senior year. I am one of four members in the chat who are from the Echo staff.

This chat has been a great way to see how other yearbook teams work through any problems that may come their way, or just gain inspiration from outside sources.
middle school workshop
Before COVID, myself and a few other editors began working with our middle schoolers to give tips and inspiration on how to make their own book better. It was really cool to see what they were working on and give them a head-start for high school.
